Therapy Center

Occupational Therapy (OT)

OT helps children and adolescents adapt to environmental needs, perform activities of daily living, learn appropriate social skills, regulate behavior and function optimally in school and at home with the use of evidence-based practices.

By addressing sensory, socioemotional, feeding and fine-motor issues, they support parents and teachers in handling the child as he/she goes about home and school routines. OT prepares children to become self-sufficient and productive adults according to their individual capabilities.

Assessment & Early Intervention - NEW

Assessment & Early Intervention

A one-on-one assessment with the OT can help identify problems with work behaviors (attention span, sitting span, impulse control, frustration tolerance), handwriting and sensory integration that can impair performance of daily living routines and academic functioning. The OT works closely with the child's family and teachers in order to scientifically and creatively address all issues that prevent the child from adapting well and coping with performance expectations both at home and in school. The OT Expert Pediatric Team (EPT) utilizes a range of effective developmentally-appropriate strategies for toddlers, young children and adolescents as they transition from one life stage to another.
