Since 1997, ALRES has worked its way to becoming the premier center in the Philippines offering high-quality intervention programs that are genuinely responsive to the complex needs of a diverse profile of children from birth to 21 years old. A caring, passionate and highly-skilled pediatric interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, special educators, child psychologists & reading clinicians comprise the ALRES Team. All are qualified & licensed, with strong regard for ethical procedures. The ALRES team has been the epitome of family-centered practices, collaborative attitudes, and evidence-based clinical approaches that have resulted to positive child outcomes through the years.
An innovative, responsive, developmentally-appropriate and experiential curriculum aligned with the K-12 DepED curriculum has been designed to cater to students of varying abilities & needs. ALRES offers a comprehensive program from Preschool to the Transition Years, with tracks to support inclusive education, as well as independent living & functional academics. The development of an Individualized Educational/Transition Plan allows children to progress according to their own pace, in a school community that values kindness & respect for diversity.
Being an industry trailblazer and staunch advocate for PWDs, ALRES has been a training ground for internship/practicum students from local & international educational institutions pursuing undergraduate & post-graduate degree programs. It also serves as technical consultant to local government units and agencies, non-government organizations (NGOs), and parent & professional advocacy groups. ALRES expert trainors develop and implement parent, teacher and community empowerment programs paving the way for sustainable inclusion practices.
Having a HEART OF SERVICE is one of ALRES' Core Values. Considering less than 5% of children with disabilities in the Philippines have access to special education and therapy services, ALRES provides free assessments, home programs and caregiver trainings in collaboration with local governments, the Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD), public schools, parish-based organizations, and the private sector. It also offers scholarship grants to children twice marginalized by poverty & disability.
