Parent empowerment and teacher training programs are regularly offered in ALRES covering topics such as behavior management, home-school collaboration, differentiated instruction, authentic assessment, language facilitation, dealing with feeding issues, and many other topics that can benefit primary care providers.
Customized training programs are also developed by the ALRES interdisciplinary team, as requested by partner schools and communities. These are usually given as part of the in-service teacher training of inclusive schools to equip school administrators, teachers and personnel on how to successfully accommodate the complex needs of a diverse student population. Parent trainings are a crucial component of effective intervention programs and lead to sustainable favorable outcomes for the child and the family.
