Mission Sites

The goal of every Heart of Service (HOS) Mission is to serve not only the child with disability, but his family and community as well.

Any initiative for the child will not be effective without the unconditional love and support of the family. Community awareness and attitudes towards disability should also be targeted in order to promote acceptance and broaden opportunities for the child to participate more and be included.

The following sites have been beneficiaries of HOS Missions over the years:

Kalibo, Aklan (in collaboration with the STAC Rehabilitation Center)

Tacloban, Leyte (in collaboration with the Mayor's Office, DSWD & DepED)

San Pablo, Laguna (in collaboration with Individual Benefactors & DepED )

Solsona, Ilocos Norte (in collaboration with the Mayor's Office, DSWD & DepED)

Taytay, Rizal (in collaboration with the Gender & Development Office & DepED)

ALRES also supports three (3) residential institutions for surrendered and abandoned children and adults with disabilities:

Guanella Home in Quezon City (run by the Servants of Charity)

Jade Home (in Dasmariñas, Cavite) and Aime Home (in Makati City) run by Virlanie Foundation (NGO)

Safe Haven Community Center and Children's Home

Marikina City (in collaboration with DepED)

Sta. Rosa Laguna (in collaboration with DepED)

Parañaque City (in collaboration with Save the Children Philippines)

The Giving Therapist Project

This is a project component of ALRES Missions that will be launched this year to encourage the spirit of volunteerism among pediatric therapists and open up avenues for service to our Filipino children who are most marginalized by poverty and disability. ALRES will collaborate with residential institutions for children with disabilities, individual and corporate benefactors, higher education institutions for therapists with return service agreements, and professional associations in rendering regular service to the poorest of the poor.
