The ALRES SPED Team is composed of both expert and novice teachers who use their strengths to bring out the best in the students of ALRES. Expert teachers mentor novice teachers in effectively differentiating teaching strategies for individual learner needs using the Universal Design for Learning (UDL), developing comprehensive & relevant Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs), and employing evidence-based behavior management approaches using the Response To Intervention (RTI) framework and Positive Behavior Supports (PBS). Novice teachers bring with them their youthful energy, dynamism, creativity and tech-savvy abilities. They work as a cohesive team guided by ALRES' Core Values as they patiently and lovingly teach our ALRES students enrolled from Preschool to Pre-Vocational Levels who are navigating our alternative K-12 curriculum.
